Yonkers, One Last Look At Your Candidates Before The Primary

Yonkers – With just four days left until the Democratic Primary which will be held on Tuesday, September 12th, we wanted to give you one last look at the candidates from the individual and collective interviews, forums, and debates we did on the People Before Politics Show. At this point, most people know who it is they are going to cast their ballot for, but for those still undecided and those who haven’t had a chance to hear from all the candidates, Yonkers here are your candidates.


One of the most publicized races is the tightly contested race for the 17th District County Legislator Seat. Where incumbent Virginia Perez and her opponent who would like to unseat her, Mr. London Reyes will be fighting it out until the very last minute. The next seat up for grabs will be for County Legislator Ken Jenkins’ successor for the 16th District County Legislator seat. You have four candidates, City Councilman Christopher A. Johnson, Carmen Gomez Goldberg, Symra Brandon and Nicole Benjamin. Each candidate has appeared separately on the People Before Politics Radio Show and three of the candidates came back for a debate (Smyra Brandon was unable to make it due to a schedule conflict). below are links to all the shows.

Like we said most of you have already made your mind, but we hope for the ones who haven’t we hope this helps you. We can not tell you who to vote for only to vote in this very important election. Every vote counts in 2015 we had a Mount Vernon candidate win by just 40 votes.
