Breaking News: SWAT & MVPD Present at Hostage/Suicide Situation Down The Street From Mount Vernon Mayor’s Home

Mount Vernon – While very little is known at this time, SWAT has surrounded a Mount Vernon house located in Huntswood (a northern section of Fleetwood) on the corner of Douglas Place and Edgewood (down the street from the newly purchased home of Mayor Richard W. Thomas), Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses tell Black Westchester, Police and SWAT teams asked the male to come out and drop his weapon, and shots was fired. The witnesses all ducked for cover when shots rang out and could not determine who was doing the firing. Police are asking all resident to stay in their homes.

It appears to be a possible hostage/suicide situation, BW is being told. Police would only describe the suspect as a suicidal male on front lawn with a shotgun in his hand. Police can be heard on bullhorn trying to talk the man into putting down the weapon. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect was taken into protective custody around 8:15PM. No injures were reported.

BOYCOTT FOR BLACK LIVES T-SHIRT  BUY HERE

Colin Kaepernick has committed no crime other than spoke truth to power about the injustices to black people in the United States. For this, he should not be punished by blackballing him from the game of football. If people want change, we must Boycott! It’s up to us to protest but not just physically; with our money. If black lives don't matter to them, then our black dollars shouldn't either.
