Mayor Thomas To Deliver State Of The City Address In City Council Chambers

Mount Vernon Mayor Richard W. Thomas is set to give his second State of The City Address, Wednesday, March 22nd in the City Council Chambers to the City Council and the residents of Mount Vernon.

There was a little controversy last year when the mayor decided to deliver his first State Of The City Address, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Rebecca Turner Elementary (formerly known as Longfellow Elementary) located at 625 South 4th Avenue, instead of holding it at the City Council which had been the tradition. With all that has taken place in the 12 months since the mayor’s last SOTC address, many are eager to hear what the mayor’s vision will be to move Mount Vernon forward in 2017.

BOYCOTT FOR BLACK LIVES T-SHIRT  BUY HERE

Colin Kaepernick has committed no crime other than spoke truth to power about the injustices to black people in the United States. For this, he should not be punished by blackballing him from the game of football. If people want change, we must Boycott! It’s up to us to protest but not just physically; with our money. If black lives don't matter to them, then our black dollars shouldn't either.
