NYS Assemblywoman Sandy Galef Endorses Agedelo, Fernandez & Smith For Peekskill Common Council

Peekskill – Long-time Peekskill champion and New York State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef announced her unequivocal support for Vanessa Agudelo, Ramon Fernandez and Colin Smith, in the Peekskill Democratic Primary Election this Tuesday, September 12th. Citing their strong records advocating for the interests of Peekskill children, green initiatives, and their commitment to inclusiveness and diversity, she made clear it was an easy choice to make.

“These candidates represent ideals of the Democratic Party and will undoubtedly bring greater transparency, accountability, and inclusivity to Peekskill City Hall. They are pro-growth Democrats who understand how to balance the character, affordability, and environment with the need for new business and additional tax revenue. They take a family first approach that looks out for the interests of Peekskill residents when they make decisions in City Hall,” said Galef. “They represent the best that Peekskill has to offer and I couldn’t be more pleased to support them.”

Vanessa Agudelo is a leader in green initiatives and community collaboration serving as the Chair of the Peekskill NAACP’s Environmental Climate Justice Committee and on the City’s Conservation Advisory Council, where she helped lead the solarize Peekskill effort. Ramon Fernandez, a proud father of three, Peekskill small business owner and community leader co-founded the Peekskill Youth Soccer Club and the Peekskill Hispanic Community Corp. Colin Smith, a lifelong Peekskill resident, local attorney and small business owner has served two terms on the Peekskill Board of education serving as both Vice President and President.

BOYCOTT FOR BLACK LIVES T-SHIRT  BUY HERE

Colin Kaepernick has committed no crime other than spoke truth to power about the injustices to black people in the United States. For this, he should not be punished by blackballing him from the game of football. If people want change, we must Boycott! It’s up to us to protest but not just physically; with our money. If black lives don't matter to them, then our black dollars shouldn't either.
